The Russian Federal Security Service thwarts a terrorist attack in the North Caucasus

Moscow (ST): The Russian Federal Security Service thwarted a terrorist attack that a supporter of the Ukrainian right-wing extremist group “Right Sector”, banned in Russia, tried to carry out against military and police personnel in the Karachay Circassian Republic in the North Caucasus.

TASS news agency quoted the agency’s press office as saying: “According to the measures implemented in Cherkessk, Karachay Circassian Republic, a citizen who supported the ideology of the “neo-Nazis” was arrested, who planned to commit terrorist acts against employees of the republic’s law enforcement agencies and the military”.
