Syria offers condolences to Pakistan over floods’ victims

DAMASCUS, Aug.4, (ST)-Syria has offered its condolences to Pakistan over the victims of floods and heavy rains that his the country.

“Syria expresses its heartfelt condolences to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan over the victims of floods and heavy rains that hit different cities of the country and resulted in tragic loss of life and properties,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement released on Thursday.

The statement went on to say:“ Syrians offer their sincere condolences to and express sympathies with the victims’ families and wish the wounded speedy recovery, and they are confident that Pakistani government and people are able to overcome this painful ordeal.”

Over the past weeks, Pakistan witnessed severe flooding that caused heavy losses.
