Hisya Industrial City attracted 31 new investors during the first half of 2022

During the first half of 2022, the Industrial City of Hisya in Syria’s Homs attracted 31 new investors who joined investment in this major industrial area, increasing the volume of investments to 450 billion Syrian pounds (SYP) and providing about 25,000 job opportunities.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Director of the Hisya Industrial City Bassam Al-Mansour said that the efforts exerted by the government have had positive effects on the development of investments and on increasing the number of the industrial facilities in Hisya.

According to Mansour, thanks to the great facilitations and encouraging factors provided to investors, the number of industrial facilities registered in Hisya reached 964, of which 294 are producing facilities and 670 others are under construction, pointing out that these facilities cover different fields, including food, engineering, chemical and textile industries as well as services.

Al-Mansour clarified that the revenues achieved during the first half of this year exceeded 3.2 billion SYP, while the costs on implementing the projects reached 1.4 billion SYP.
