DAMASCUS, Aug.2, (ST)-The meeting of the General Commission of the Syrian-Algerian Business Council began this evening to complete the formation of its board of directors and its committees and launch its work, with the participation of about 80 businessmen and women, at the “Ebla” Hotel in Damascus countryside.
The Council’s Chairman Khaled Zubaidi said at the start of the meeting that the Council will work during the coming period to develop economic relations between Syria and Algeria in trade and investment fields, activate the role of Syrian businessmen to establish partnerships with their Algerian counterparts, and establish a joint-stock company to enhance cooperation as soon as possible.
On the 17th of last month, the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade issued a decision to form the Syrian-Algerian Business Council, naming Khaled Zubaidi as the head of the council and Mustafa Kawaih as his deputy.
