Prague (ST): The Czech House of Representatives has established a new parliamentary group for friendship with Syria, headed by a member of the Foreign Committee in the House, Jerji Kobza of the Freedom and Direct Democracy Party.
The committee includes seven deputies from the parliament, four of whom are from the “Freedom and Direct Democracy” party, and three are from the “ANU” movement, which is the largest bloc in the current parliament.
The former Czech parliamentary group for friendship with Syria had been active for four years, headed by Stanislav Grosbic, but it was dissolved at the end of last year after the new parliamentary elections.
