Foreign ministries of Syria and the DPRK affirm the strength of joint relations for 56 years

Damascus (ST): The Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Dr. Faisal Miqdad, affirmed that the joint efforts exerted over the decades between the Syrian Arab Republic and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea contributed to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of the two countries at various levels.

This came during the exchange of congratulatory messages between Minister Miqdad and DPRK Foreign Minister Choi Son on the occasion of the fifty-sixth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Syria and the DPRK.

Minister Al-Miqdad indicated that the joint efforts by the leaderships of the two countries over the decades have resulted in many important gains and contributed to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two peoples, stressing Syria’s keenness to continue this cooperation and to make all possible efforts to strengthen and develop it to include broader areas in a way that achieves common good and benefit to the two friendly countries and peoples.

In her turn, Choi Son affirmed in her cable the depth of the cooperation and friendship relations between the two friendly countries, expressing her confidence in achieving more of this cooperation and developing bilateral relations amid complex international conditions, and her belief that the relations of cooperation and friendship that have been strengthened and respected over the past years will grow stronger in the future.
