Final Statement of Arab writers’ meetings calls for supporting just Arab causes

DAMASCUS, Jul.28, (ST)-The final statement of the meeting of the Permanent Office of the General Union of Arab Writers and Intellectuals has underlined the necessity of lifting all forms of siege on Syria and confronting the American and Turkish occupations.

The statement, which was released on Thursday, stressed that the occupied Syrian Golan is part and parcel of Syria and that the Israeli occupation must withdraw from it.

It pointed out that Palestine has been always the central cause of all the Arabs, noting the importance of supporting Palestinians to restore their full rights and condemning normalization with the Israeli entity.

The statement added that terrorism poses the greatest threat to the future of the Arab nation and human values, asserting the need to preserve Yemen’s unity and its cultural heritage and to stand by the resistant Iraqi people and reject foreign interference in Iraq’s affairs.

It denounced the oppressive practices exercised by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, calling for drying the resources of financing the intellectual terrorism.
