The 1st  central exhibition opened at Khan Asaad Pasha in Damascus

The Ministry of Culture has opened the first central exhibition of the plastic arts centers at Khan Asaad Pasha in Damascus.

About 146  artistic works including oil paintings , photography, sculpture, ceramics graphics, and others, for talented participating artists were showed in the collective exhibition

Waseem Abdel Hamid, the Director of the Directorate of Fine Arts told Syria times (e- newspaper): “ The exhibition is an opportunity for students and graduators to express their ideas in their works”.

Two paintings on Arabic calligraphy were displayed by Maysoun Al-Habbal, who declared that participation in exhibitions is a great incentive for her and it helps her to know the people’s opinion about her paintings.

Artist Basmia Al Hariri displayed a flower vase made of porcelain. She participated in a number of collective exhibitions inside Syria.

Nariman al-Hamami, another participant,  displayed Arabic calligraphy painting decorated with Umayyad sword. She believes that the collective exhibition is a good opportunity for talents artists to show their works.

For his part, artist Mohammad Ali Zarzour displayed one oil painting showing our heritage. He draw the blacksmith profession which almost extinct.

He seeks to preserve our heritage through drawing traditional crafts.
