Mansour: International community must reach a just settlement for the Palestinian issue

New York (ST): The Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, affirmed that the international community continues to ignore the daily violations and crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians, their land and property.

According to Wafa Agency, Mansour considered during a session of the Security Council today on the situation in the Middle East and the Palestinian issue that the time has come for the international community to identify steps to reach a just settlement of the Palestinian issue, pointing out that US President Joe Biden’s recent visit to the region was an occasion to emphasize the Palestinian right and oppose the occupation’s seizure of more Palestinian lands and their expulsion from them in order to expand its settlement plans, especially in occupied Jerusalem.

Mansour pointed out that the State of Palestine’s acquisition of the status of an observer state in the United Nations eight years ago is a historic decision, as it has proven its ability to be an effective and constructive state in the international community, and the best evidence is its presidency of the Group of 77 and China for a whole year.
