Rahaf Walid Ibrahim was able to record a distinguished presence in the karate game through her good results in the tournaments in which she participated, but her ambition did not stop and her eyes were on winning a shining medal in the West Asian Championship to be held next September in Jordan.
Ibrahim, 17 years old, explained that she started playing the game at a young age in the Al-Haffa Sports Country Club, and in 2012 she moved to the Ghazulin Center, where she was supervised by Nidal Zreika, and during her participation she managed to win the first place and the gold medal in all the governorate’s championships, and she was crowned in the Republic championships with the bronze medal for individual combat in 2013. Her achievement of the national Olympic gold was an incentive for her to commit to training more and to make more effort, which culminated in the gold of the Republic in 2021 with the Lattakia team, and in 2022 she won the gold medal in individual combat and silver in collective combat, and participated with the top category under the age of 21.
Ibrahim indicated that she won first place in the national team selection experiments that took place in Damascus recently in the women’s under-18 category with a weight of 53 kg, stressing that she will continue serious training and implement the instructions of her coach to develop her level and skill to be in technically and physically ready to participate in the West Asian Championship scheduled for next September in Jordan as this tournament is a gateway for her to make her way into the world of foreign tournaments.
Coach Nidal Zreika revealed that the player Rahaf Ibrahim is a promising material and an international champion project because she is a diligent, committed player and quick to receive information and does not know giving up and has proven herself strongly in all tournaments.
