Farewell ceremony for the Chinese ambassador in Damascus on the occasion of the end of his mission in Syria

Damascus (ST): The Syrian-Chinese Business Council held a farewell party this evening for the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Damascus, Feng Biao, on the occasion of the end of his duties as the country’s ambassador to Syria, at the Yafour tourist resort in Damascus countryside.

In a speech during the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Ayman Susan, stressed that the Syrian-Chinese relations are historical, well-established and rooted, and are receiving the utmost care from the leaderships of the two countries, pointing to the remarkable contributions of Ambassador Biao in strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries.

Susan described Ambassador Biao as a loyal friend, and lover of Syria, especially that he shared with the Syrians the pain and suffering of the terrorist aggression against them, and spared no effort in conveying the truth of what is happening.

For his part, Ambassador Biao expressed his thanks and gratitude to President Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian government, the staff of the Foreign Ministry and the Syrian-Chinese Business Council for their cooperation with him to complete his duties as ambassador to his country, reviewing the most important historical stations that strengthened relations between the two countries and laid the foundations for the present and the future and for participation in the reconstruction of Syria.
