Syria wins 4 bronze medals in weightlifting championship in Tashkent

TESHKENT, Jul.24, (ST)-Syria’s weightlifting team won on Sunday 4 bronze medals in the Asian Youth and Junior Championships, which is currently being held in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.

Ali Ismail was able to win three medals for the weight of 102 kg in the junior category, through the snatch lift of 135 kg, the net lift of 161 kg, and in the overall total of 296 kg, while The weightlifter Qasor Jgheli won a bronze through the snatch lift of 137 kg.

The Weightlifter Jaafar Mayya achieved fourth place in the weight of 67 kg for the junior category through the snatch lift of 112 kg, the net lift of 138 kg, and the overall total of 250 kg.
