Premier approves granting A Loan for The Purchase Of The Wheat From Farmers

Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, approved the recommendation of the Economic Committee, which included granting the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection to the Syrian Grain Corporation a financial loan of 100 billion Syrian pounds to finance the purchase of the wheat season for the current year, with the aim of enhancing the strategic stock of the material.
Arnous also agreed  the recommendation of the Economic Committee, which included supporting the proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, to set the purchase price of the sugar beet crop from farmers for the 2022-2023 season at an amount of 400 Syrian pounds per kilogram, after calculating the final cost of the product at the popular price, with the aim of reducing the import bill and covering local consumption in order to encourage farmers to cultivate their lands and thus obtaining the largest amount of production delivered to state institutions.
