Israeli occupation announces new settlement expansion plan in Ramallah

The Israeli occupation on Tuesday announced a new settlement expansion plan east of the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Head of the Settlement and Wall Resistance Commission Muayyad Shaaban told WAFA News Agency that the new plan includes establishing more than 114 settlement units on 150 dunums of Palestinian land east of Ramallah city with the aim of expanding a settlement already built there.

Wide areas of Palestinian land will be confiscated by the occupation, particularly in the village of Deir Dabwan,  as a result of this plan.

Shaaban pointed out that the plans recently announced by the occupation aim at building huge settlement blocs on Palestinian lands, specifically in the eastern part of the West Bank surrounding the Jordan Valley as part of implementing the occupation’s colonialist annexation scheme.
