Iran reaffirms its rejection of the western sanctions imposed on Syria
Ali Asghar Khaji, Senior Advisor to the Iranian Foreign Minister for Special Political Affairs and the UN Chief’s Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen discussed during a phone conversation on Saturday the latest developments in Syria.
Khaji reaffirmed his country’s rejection of the western sanctions imposed on Syria, noting the difficult living conditions of the Syrian people due to these illegal sanctions.
He called for increasing the humanitarian aid to Syria and for speeding up the delivery of this aid to all parts of Syria in a just and balanced way without discrimination or preconditions
On his part, Pedersen said that he highly appreciates Iran’s cooperation in solving the crisis in Syria.
