The attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue on the Alouk Water Project

Hasakah, (ST) – The attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries from terrorist organizations continue on the Alouk water project in the countryside of the occupied city of Ras Al-Ain in the northern countryside of Hasakah. This matter led to a delay in pumping water to the people in the city of Hasakah and the surrounding neighborhoods.

As a result of the current water situation in the Alouk project, and as a result of these attacks, the days of water rationing have increased to reach 10 days and may increase for each of the six sections of the city of Hasakah covered by water pumping.

In this regard, the Director of the Public Water Establishment in Hasakah Governorate, Mahmoud Al-Akla, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the project is currently subjected to major attacks by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation on the electric lines feeding it and coming from the Al-Darbasiyah power station. This matter led to frequent electrical disconnection and shutdown of the wells. “The mercenaries deliberately steal electricity and exploit it for their interests in the occupied countryside of Ras Al-Ain”, Al-Akla added.

Al-Akla pointed out that there is a new phenomenon of attacks carried out by mercenaries, represented by the encroachment on the water transmission lines extending between the area of Alouk and the northern countryside of Tel Tamer.

“The aim of this phenomenon is watering the crops in the lands seized by the terrorists by force of arms after the displacement of their owners, which led to the delay in pumping times and the decline in Amounts of water reaching the city of Hasakah and the increase in the days of rationing in the city and its surroundings”, Al-Akla said.
