Lavrov: Western countries prevent Ukraine from engaging in the peace proces

Moscow (ST): Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed that Western countries do not allow Ukraine to engage in the peace process and that Russia cannot accept this.

TASS news agency quoted Lavrov as telling reporters today on the sidelines of his participation in the meeting of foreign ministers of the Group of Twenty countries in Denpasar, Indonesia: “If the West does not want negotiations and instead seeks Ukraine’s victory over Russia on the battlefield, we will have nothing to discuss with it…because With these methods, Kiev is not allowed to engage in the peace process.”

Lavrov explained that Western countries are forcing Ukraine to take its weapons and use them to bomb cities in Donbas and target the civilian population.
