Arab Nation Conference: Aggression on Syria Threatens Arab National Security

CAIRO,(ST)_ President  of the people ‘s trend in Egypt Hamdeen Sabahi  reiterated  Egypt ‘s  unwavering position in refusing the  American aggression on Syria under any pretext , asserting that the allegations of the U.S. administration to  ” protecting  the Syrian people ” are false  as they implement the  scheme  of dividing and fragmenting  in order to  reproduce the  Sykes-Picot agreement in order to place the Arab nation before  sedition and sectarianism challenges  to serve the  Israeli interests in the region.

“We will defend Syria to remain independent  and united  against  the  American hegemony and Zionist schemes and  our nation  and people  will triumph ” Sabahi said in a speech yesterday at the Arab nation conference against the of U.S. aggression on  the Arab world .

He warned against  “turning Syria into a base for  organized terrorism ” , whose  results  are reflected on all Arab countries that support the  aggression on Syria , regretting  the Arab League  position , in licensing  the  American aggression on Syria, while it is rejected by  the British House of Commons .

He stressed  that the cessation of violence in Syria means that its decision to remain  national and popular without any interference from the US,  the world’s first aggressor  on human rights , pointing out that the U.S. administration is sponsoring the largest shelter  of crime , racism and nuclear weapons , embodied in the  Zionist entity that occupies the land and threatens the holy sites and history.

He also expressed Egypt ‘s continued stand by Syria , because ” every aggression against Syria is an aggression against Egypt and a threat to  the Arab national security and not only to the security of Syria, ” noting the role of the  Egyptian popular forces which strongly  condemn  the position of the U.S. administration and its allies .

For their part, President of the Egyptian Bar Association and the Union of Arab Lawyers Sameh Ashour, head of the National Council for Human Rights Mohammad  Faeq , Secretary General of the  Nasserite Popular  Unionist Organization in Yemen Abdul-Malik al -Mikhlafi , and  Chairman of the general federation  for Egyptians abroad Hassan Mousa   stressed that the  Arabs will not accept targeting Syria for the  liquidation of the region under the pretext of democracy .

They considered the positions  taken by  the Arab League and some Arab regimes toward Syria as a flagrant Arab subjugation  to the US  and an implementation of its orders and policy in the region.

They  described the likely  aggression on Syria as a black series of  continued attacks on the Arab nation , pointing out that the  Arab generation who learned  the lessons of dignity when  Damascus said “here is  Cairo ” and lived  up with  the glory  of Arab Unity in 1958 was the same  generation who witnessed  the invasion of Beirut and the occupation of Baghdad and Tripoli, and  is still  clinging to resistance , challenging  the Israeli occupation and rejecting all forms of domination and colonialism .

Lebanon’s former  defense minister and head of the  Lebanese Union party Abdul Rahim Murad  stressed that  the external aggression on Syria began when Arab regimes have supported  a lot of fighters who came to  destroy Syria because of its support for resistance in Lebanon , Palestine and  Iraq, pointing out that the frantic political , media and psychological campaign  on Syria reminds  the world of what happened a few years ago when preparations were made  for the invasion of Iraq, based  on the same methods and allegations.
