Syrian-Russian project to establish 4-star tourist complex in Lattakia

Lattakia Governorate’s Council and the Russian “Senara Ent” Company signed on Wednesday investment contract for “Jules Jammal” site with the aim of building 4-star tourist complex on an area of  ​​approximately 70,000 square meters.

The contract includes the establishment of a hotel, chalets, hotel apartments, physical and health treatment centers, and complementary entertainment activities in the form of a bot investment for a period of 45 years, and 6 years for the implementation period.

In this context, the Minister of Tourism, Muhammad Rami Radwan, confirmed that the signing of the “Jules Gamal” investment contract came in accordance with the directives of President Bashar Al-Assad to strengthen strategic relations with the Russian side in economic, tourist, social and several other fields, to reach the level of political relations and the victories achieved with the help of allies.

He referred to the importance of this project in terms of investments in Lattakia Governorate, adding: “We are looking forwards to getting more investment opportunities and the arrival of Russian tourism in the coming days.”

For his part, the Russian company’s DirectorGeneral, Dmitry Oparin, stressed that the project will contribute to increasing the arrival of Russian tourists to Syria, and enhancing prospects for cooperation in the reconstruction process after the unjust war on the country.
