Syria’s athletics team adds a variety of medals to the West Asian Championship

Beirut (ST): The Syrian national athletics team added new medals to its tally in the West Asian Championships for male and female youth held in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

During today’s competition, Aya Rahiya was awarded  with the gold medal in the 400-meter hurdles, while Sally Hamada, silver in the high jump, Haneen Al-Hassan, silver in the 3000-meter steeplechase, Shahd Al-Ali, silver in discus throw, Osama Al-Ali bronze in pole vault, and our team achieved bronze in the women’s relay in the 400-meter team relay .

The aforementioned medals are added to the shiny medals achieved by our team during the past two days in the tournament, where Naya Abbas yesterday won the gold in the 800-meter race, Elissar Youssef, the gold in the 100-meter hurdles, Ramia Shaaban, Sidra Shehada Shaaban, the gold and silver in the 5000-meter walk, Aya Rahiya, the gold in the 400-meter hurdles, and Aya Asbar silver in the javelin throwing competition, and gold and silver through the players Saddam Al-Nams and Youssef Albi in the 10 km walking race.
