Beirut, (ST) – The Syrian national athletics team continues its brilliance in the West Asian Athletics Championships for young men and women, which started yesterday in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
In the 5000m walking competition, Ramia Shaaban won the gold medal, while Sidra Shehadeh won the silver medal in the same competition.
The Syrian national team had won the gold medal in the 400-meter hurdles yesterday by the player Aya Al-Rahiya, and in the javelin throwing competition, by the player Aya Asbar won the silver medal.
The Syrian team also won two gold and silver medals through the players Saddam Al-Nams and Youssef Albi in the 10 km walking race.
