German parliamentarian: Constructive Relations Should Be Established with Russia

German parliamentarian Yevgeny Schmidt called for establishing constructive relations between his country and Russia, pointing out that diplomacy is the way to achieve this.
According to RIA Novosti, Schmidt, a representative of the AfD party, said: “We would like to build constructive relations without a policy of sanctions, and the art of agreement must be mastered, and for this there is diplomacy.”
Schmidt stressed that sanctions do not usually achieve the desired results.
The German ambassador to Moscow, Geza Andreas von Geyer, had announced earlier that Russian-German relations deteriorated rapidly after the 24th of last February, stressing at the same time that the two countries would remain neighbors.
