Damascus (ST) –The activities of the eighth session of the Information and Communication Technology Exhibition “HITEC 2022”, which was organized by the Arab Group for Exhibitions in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Technology in the exhibition city in Damascus for a period of five days, concluded on Monday evening.
Minister of Industry, Ziad Sabbagh, affirmed that the exhibition has become a necessity to keep pace with the technology industry and its applications and uses. He noted that the exhibition contributed in providing wide options for visitors and the business sector of modern software and technologies that help and accelerate the digital transformation process, which helps in the development of the Syrian industry and the national economy.
The Director-General of the Arab Group for Exhibitions, Eng. Alaa Hilal, noted the turnout witnessed by the exhibition during its five days, as the number of visitors, exceeded 12 thousands, included IT engineers and interested persons from different governorates.
According to Hilal, this exhibition was distinguished by the pavilion of the HITEC incubator for the projects of graduates of Syrian public and private universities, which allowed them to present their projects and innovations to investors and the business sector in the context of the trend towards linking the labor market with the outputs of academic institutions.
The exhibition was launched on 23rd of this month with the participation of 180 local, Arab and international companies and brands, along with providing free transportation for visitors around the clock.
