Resistance is the language that the Israeli occupation understands, says Popular Commission for the Liberation of Golan

QUNEITRA, Jun.26, (ST)- The Popular Commission for the Liberation of Golan has affirmed that victory will be achieved by the people who are the struggling for their just cause and imprescriptible rights.

The commission said in a statement released on Sunday to mark the 48th anniversary of the liberation of Quneitra that the will of the people is indomitable and the homeland is above everything, and we must continue to confront the Zionist enemy to expel it from every inch of our occupied land.

“The 26th of June is an immortal day in the history of Syria, with its meanings  as the Syrian Arab Army by its great sacrifices in the October liberation war liberated the city of Quneitra and affirmed that the Golan will be liberated and that the resistance is the only option to restore the usurped right,” the Commission added.

It went on to say: “Our people and our army are engaged in the fiercest battle in history against terrorism and the Zionist-American Takfiri attack on the homeland, as they continue the struggle to overthrow the racist Zionist project and its forces and allies in the region with the heroism of the Syrian Arab Army, the steadfastness of the people and the sacrifices of its sons that shape the country’s future.”

On the same occasion, the leadership of the Quneitra branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party and the Quneitra governorate held a rally at Al-Alam square in the city of Quneitra.

The participants in the rally asserted that the liberation of the city of Quneitra is a gateway to complete the liberation of the occupied Syrian Golan from the Israeli occupation, affirming their right to liberate their land and return to their homes, cities and villages from which the Zionist enemy expelled them in the June 1967 aggression.

They underscored that resistance and struggle is the language that the Israeli occupation understands and the only way to liberate the Golan and return it to Syrian national sovereignty.

The speakers also stressed that the liberation of Quneitra and the raising of the national flag on its soil came as a result of the sacrifices and heroisms of the Syrian Arab Army and thanks to the unity of the people with the army and the political leadership, affirming that the continuity of the battle until the defeat of Zionists and the liberation of every inch of the occupied Syrian Golan.
