Russia reiterates that Washington trains terrorists in Al-Tanf area in Syria

MOSCOW, Jun.26, (ST)- The Russian Ministry of Defense has reiterated that the US occupation troops, which are spread in the Syrian territory, are training terrorists in Al-Tanf area, in the  eastern countryside of Homs, and supporting them with the aim of carrying out terrorist attacks against the Syrian state.

“The terrorist groups, that have been trained in Al-Tanf area by ISIS terrorist organization, and whom the US considers as one of the tools to achieve its foreign policy’s priorities in Syria, are attacking the civilians and the Syrian civil facilities, including oil facilities,” the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry went on to say: “Despite the difficulty of carrying out operations in the desert, units of the Syrian Army, with support of Russian reconnaissance planes, discovered hiding places of terrorists and eliminated them with high-precision strikes.”

Since September 2015, Russian Air Forces have been participating in supporting efforts of the Syrian Army in its war against terrorist organizations upon  the request of the Syrian Arab Republic.

The ministry also released a footage on its website showing several joint operations between the Syrian army and Russian forces against the US backed-terrorist organizations in the Syrian al-Badia region, including  (ISIS) terrorist organization.

On the 20th of this month, a terrorist group attacked a civilian bus on the Raqqa-Homs road in the Al-Jira area, killing 11 soldiers and civilians and wounding 3 soldiers.
