Syria wins 8 awards in 2022 JCI Africa and the Middle East Conference

TUNIS, Jun.21, (ST)- The Junior Chamber International in Syria took part in the Junior Chamber International of Africa and the Middle East Conference which was held in Hammamet resort, Tunisia on June 15-18 with the participation of over 1000 participants.

The participants included entrepreneurs and project owners of more than 40 nationalities from Africa and the Middle East, in addition to participants from European, Asian and American countries within the axis of “the initiative for a better future”.

Syria’s participation came through a delegation headed by the National Head of the Chamber for the year 2022, and it includes members of the local chambers of Aleppo, Damascus, Lattakia and Ugarit, according to Elias Fanoun, tge Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Chamber in Syria for 2022.

Fanoun declared that the Chamber participated in the works of the General Assembly, the English speaking and debate competition, dialogue sessions, exercises, and the Global Village for display and promotion of the civilization and heritage of Syria, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

For his part, Mohammad Waseem Saad, member of the Syrian Chamber, added that the Chamber received most of the awards, which amounted to 8 out of 13. The awards were obtained by the Chambers of Aleppo, Homs, Tartous and Lattakia.

During the four-day event, several symposiums on the digital economy and a trade fair were held to highlight various employment opportunities and start-up companies and provide solutions for economists.
