Syrian Establishment for Grain in Raqqa continues to receive wheat crop from farmers

The branch of the Syrian Establishment for Grain in Raqqa continues to receive the wheat crop for this season from farmers.

Raqqa Governor Abdula Razzaq Khalifa on Tuesday visited the receiving center in Al-Sabkha area to inspect the process.

He told SANA reporter that the Syrian government is keen on supporting wheat farmers through providing them with fertilizers, seeds and fuel and through securing irrigation and good purchase price.

He pointed out that all the parties in charge of marketing will spare no effort to facilitate the process of receiving the crops.

According to Abdul Karim Al-Jasem, Director of the Raqqa branch of the Syrian Establishment for Grain, the marketing centers, which started receiving the wheat by the beginning of this month, are witnessing notable turnout by farmers who want to sell their wheat to the establishment.

He pointed out that the establishment has specified three centers for receiving the wheat, noting that 15,000 tons of sorted and unsorted wheat have so far been received.
