Sports festival in Lattakia on the occasion of International Yoga Day

Lattakia,(ST)- On the occasion of the International Day of Yoga for Cosmic Peace, the Sports Federation For All  held a sports festival in the village of Hanadi in the city of Lattakia in cooperation with the Syrian Center for Yoga and Meditation.

The festival, which was attended by 500 male and female players from different governorates, featured special presentations and sessions of yoga for pregnant women, elderly, people with special needs, people who suffer from pain.It also included Kata shows for internal energy.

Thanaa Muhammad, the Head of the Sports Federation said that the festival was held on the occasion of the International Day of Yoga and witnessed wide participation from the governorates of Damascus, Damascus Countryside, Aleppo, Sweida, Homs, Lattakia and Tartous. She pointed out that there are many benefits of yoga, including the flow of energy in the body to reach inner peace, and feeling of happiness and satisfaction.

It is noteworthy that the celebrations of the International Day of Yoga continue.A festival will be held today in Damascus, tomorrow in Homs and Aleppo.
