Russia will not be affected by the trade war waged against it, says Svoboda

Prague, (ST) – The former Czech Foreign Minister Tserel Svoboda confirmed that Russia has alternative markets from Western countries to sell gas and oil. “Russia will not be affected by the Western trade war that is being waged against it and cannot be defeated by this war”, he added.

In an interview with Parliamentary Papers, Svoboda warned that Europe will never be able in the future to live without Russian gas because there is no alternative source that can replace 100 percent of Russian gas.

Svoboda pointed out that at a time when Europe is applying various packages of sanctions against Russia; the latter is focusing on the Chinese and Indian markets, which can compensate for the European market.
