Al-Khatib strongly condemns the terrorist attack on a passenger bus in the countryside of Raqqa

Beirut, (ST) – The Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council in Lebanon, Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a passenger bus in the countryside of Raqqa yesterday.

In a statement received by SANA, Al-Khatib said, “This terrorist act is parallel with the continuous Zionist aggression against Syria, to confirm that the objectives of the Zionist takfiri project are the same in striking Syria and destabilizing its security and stability.”

Al-Khatib pointed out that Syria will remain steadfast in the face of the siege and all conspiracies due to the courage of its army and people and their great sacrifices in order to preserve its unity and stability.

Eleven soldiers and two civilians were killed and three soldiers were wounded as a result of targeting a civilian passenger bus by terrorists on the Raqqa-Homs road earlier yesterday.
