The Palace of Culture in Baniyas held a poetic afternoon in which a group of young men and women participated under the title Youth Creativity, in order to encourage and shed light on young talents.
Lauren Ihsan (second year of Arabic literature), said: At first, the youth did not know where to go and to whom to present their talent, but the presence of the Palace of Culture in Baniyas and its embrace of these talents encouraged us, and it became the platform that many depend on to reach. She added: I participated in a prose text that speaks about the effects of losing a loved one.
Jana Ali Mustafa (Agricultural Engineering): With our participation, we encourage the young generation to participate, in addition to enjoying our talent when we stand in front of poets and recite what we wrote, this motivates us for more creativity.
She added: I participated in prose texts entitled: A King and a Cat, in which I describe the relationship between a strong person and another weaker than him.
Aya Rafiq Suleiman also presented prose texts talking about a love story in the café.
She said: Today we are writing the history of the next generation, so we must write and be encouraged, and these participations motivate us to improve and develop our writing.
Finally, Hussein Ali Ghannoum, said: Because I am in a remote place where there are no activities that encourage young people, I did not get many participations, so I hope that there will always be activities for us, the young generation, to encourage us and receive feedback from those who are older than us. Constructive criticism encourages us to write better. I participated in a poem about Qadmus and another lyrical poem entitled: Give Me.
