Homeland wounded stresses insistence on work and production

The injury did not stop him or discourage him, but rather increased his persistence and steadfastness in pursuing his path, as it formed a strong motive through which he defied the shrapnel that penetrated his body during the battles fought by the Syrian Arab Army against terrorist organizations in the city of Homs.

The wounded Muhammad Khalasi from Salah Eddin neighborhood in Aleppo city, who decided not to surrender to his injury and return to his normal life, participates in work and crown his creative skills in designing various types of furniture through the home furniture upholstery workshop he opened in Salah Eddin neighborhood in Aleppo.

Khalasi said in a statement to SANA reporter that he was wounded by a number of shrapnel during the clashes with terrorists in the Khalidiya area in Homs city, which led to his injury in the left hand, and shrapnel in the liver and leg, which led to a disability of 82 percent. As he received treatment and gradually recovered, he started his project with the craft of upholstering home furnishings, which he learned from his father when he was 14 years old. He highlighted the support of the Syrian Trust for Development (Jreeh Al-Watan Project), which enabled him to achieve himself and engage in the labor market.

He added that he continues to serve the country by contributing to building its economy through work and production, calling on his colleagues and the war-wounded people not to surrender to injury and disease and to overcome it by establishing new projects that help them in livelihoods and achieve their ambitions, and confirm that the injury will not stand in the way of their dreams.

The father of the wounded, Subhi Khalasi, said, “He participated in his son’s upholstery workshop and helped him to reopen it and work on manufacturing various types of home furniture and distributing it to furniture halls in the city and a number of Syrian governorates.”
