Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi affirmed Iran’s desire to expand its relations with neighboring and friendly countries, including the Republic of Armenia.

During his meeting with the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alain Simonyan in Tehran last night, Raisi pointed to the potentials and opportunities to develop bilateral cooperation in various fields between the two countries, including transportation, energy, industry and the supply of engineering, technical and agricultural services.

Raisi pointed out that Iran has distinguished geopolitical components that serve regional coordination and enhance peace and prosperity for the peoples of the region, starting from the Indian Ocean, passing through the Gulf and the Black Sea, and reaching Europe.

The Iranian President stressed that Iran’s policy is based on respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries and supporting all initiatives that come in the context of cooperation and dialogue to promote peace and stability with the participation of countries in the region.

The Iranian President stressed that dialogue between regional countries is the only way to solve the current standing issues, while foreign interference is complicating and escalating matters.
