A new production unit for Waseem Garment Company in Jableh countryside inaugurated providing 60 job opportunities
Lattakia, Jun.13, (ST)-The Ministry of Industry inaugurated a new production unit for the General Company for Ready-made Garments (Waseem) in Basindiana village in Jableh countryside, becoming the eleventh unit for it at the level of Syria and the sixth in the governorate.
The unit, which was inaugurated in cooperation between the Ministries of Industry, Social Affairs, Labor and Civil Activities, provides about 60 job opportunities in one shift for the families of the martyrs, the wounded, and those in need of work from the people of the village and its neighborhood.
The unit includes about 40 sewing machines and their complements of cutting and final packaging machines for the product, according to the Director General of Waseem Company, Yaroub Zureik, who explained to news reporter that the new production unit is an integrated laboratory that provides job opportunities and qualitative training on sewing professions within the government’s interest in supporting rural development.
Minister of Industry Ziad Sabbagh stressed the importance of production units in providing training and job opportunities for women with families of martyrs and wounded, which would help them improve their standard of living.
Sabbagh pointed out that the expansion of production units at the level of Syria’s regions contributes to the high economic returns of Waseem Company and meets the requirements of its work.
