Moscow: 3 thousand hectares of Donetsk and Luhansk lands cleared of explosives

On June 11th, the head of the Russian National Defense Administration Center Mikhail Mezintsev announced that Russian explosive experts have cleared 2,988 hectares of the lands of the Donetsk and Lugansk republics and have disabled more than 18,000 explosive devices.

“Ukrainian extremists are preparing forts and ammunition depots in a school in the city of Dnieper and on the territory of the New Generation Church in Pershotravinsk, Dnepropetrovsk region,” TASS news agency quoted Mezintsev as saying in a statement.

Mezintsev explained that the Nazi extremists deployed American-made artillery, heavy military equipment and rocket launchers in educational institutions in the city of Sloviansk in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Mezintsev stressed that these facts once again show the complete disregard of the Ukrainian authorities for the rules of morality and the provisions of international humanitarian law.

Mizintsev pointed out that more than 7,500 people have left the dangerous areas in Ukraine and Donbass, despite the difficulties created by the Ukrainian side.

Mezintsev noted that since the beginning of the special military operation, 1,780,515 people have been evacuated, including 286,043 children.

He added that 841 tons of humanitarian aid has been transferred to the population of Donetsk, Lugansk and the southern regions of Ukraine.
