Israeli occupation forces storm into north of Hebron

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – A number of Palestinians were injured on Thursday when the Israeli occupation forces stormed into north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

Wafa News Agency stated that the occupation forces stormed in large numbers the town of Halhul, north of Hebron, closed the main street in it and prevented Palestinians from leaving the town, and fired poison gas canisters at them, causing a number of them to suffocate.

In the context of their daily attacks, settlers burned wheat crops in the lands of Qusra town, south of Nablus.

The official in charge of the settlement file in the northern West Bank, Ghassan Daghlas, said that the settlers have recently escalated their attacks in the vicinity of Nablus, in conjunction with their attempt to establish new settlement outposts in the area.

Three Palestinians were wounded and others were arrested earlier, during the Israeli occupation forces’ storming of separate areas in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli forces shoot four Palestinians in northern West Bank raids

Meanwhile, the Israeli forces Thursday dawn shot and injured four Palestinians in the northern West Bank districts of Nablus and Jenin, according to security sources, according to Wafa News Agency.

They said that Israeli military vehicles stormed Nablus city, where the soldiers ransacked several houses.

During the ensuing confrontations, the heavily-armed soldiers opened fire towards local youths, wounding one by a live round in the leg.

Meanwhile, a number of military vehicles and a bulldozer stormed Jenin refugee camp and city as snipers positioned themselves on rooftops of residential buildings, triggering confrontations.

The soldiers fired live ammunition, tear gas canisters and stun grenades, hitting three young men by live rounds in the shoulder and foot.

The casualties  were rushed to hospitals for treatment.

Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
