Syrian Arab army mows down 10 al-Nusra Front affiliates in Hama, intensifies operations on all fronts
PROVINCES,(ST)_ Intense operations have been launched in Damascus countryside, as infiltration bids have been thwarted in Aleppo and Idlib provinces, according to media reports.
The Monday operations outside Damascus targeted terrorists’ hideouts and groupings in al-Zabadani’s eastern mountains, Madaya town, eastern Ghouta (in towns of al-Zamaneyeh and al-Qasemeyeh), Doma, al-Dyabeyeh, al-Hseneyeh, Hajjira, and al-Bweda areas.
Terrorist affiliated to al-Nusra Front, some of Libyan and Jordanian nationals, were among the dead in the said areas, SANA reported.
On the other hand, a military source said that an armed terrorist group from al-Nusra Front was mowed down in an ambush on alDmir-Adra road. The group was trying to infiltrate into the eastern Ghouta.
Qudsaya events
Yesterday morning the armed forces shelled terrorist groupings on al-Khbori road and near Defense factory in al-Hameh area as well as near Tishreen Park and Beer factory in Qudsaya area, to the north-west of Damascus, leaving an unknown number of terrorists killed and injured.
In Aleppo
Other operations were carried out in areas of al-Layramon, al-Jaddedeh, Kweris, Khan al-Assal, al-Zyara, surrounding of Aleppo prison, al-Kendo Hospital, Bestan al-Basha, al-Rashedin and Salaheddin in northern Aleppo province .
Dozens of terrorists were eliminated and a chunk of heavy machine guns plus rocket launchers were wiped out in the operations amid reports of foiling terrorists’ bids to sneak into safe areas in Salaheddin quarter in the same province [Aleppo].
In Idlib
Other infiltration bids were also repelled by the armed forces in Idlib province when terrorists tried to enter Abo al-Dohor airbase.
At the same time, the armed forces pounded many hideouts of terrorists in towns of al-Rami, Kafr Ziba, Nahleh, Jabal al-Araba’een, Majdelya, al-Bweder and Em Jrin as well as outside Ariha and in Ma’arret a-No’aman in Idlib province.
Rockets hit Hama and Damascus
The armed forces also crushed 10 al-Nusra Front-affiliates in a tailored operation in al-Hwejeh town outside Hama province.
In another development, terrorists fired 5 rockets on Horat Ammoreyeh town outside al-Ghab area causing material damages. The rockets were fired from the north of Kafr Nabboda town, according to an official source.
Another rocket attack took place in the heart of Damascus when a rocket landed in ‘Khalil Mardam Beik’ Street near ‘al-Jahez’ Park in Abo Remmaneh quarter.
The rocket caused damage to cars at the scene and fire on the fifth floor of a building.
