Larijani Raps Certain Regional States for Brokering War against Syria

TEHRAN-Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani lashed out at certain regional states for encouraging warmongering policies and brokering war on Syria, according to FNA.

“Certain regional states have promised the US that they will pay the costs of military operations (against Syria),” Larijani said, addressing the parliament in Tehran on Sunday.

He said that cooperation between a regional Islamic state with the Zionist regime and the US against Syria is painful and saddening, and added, “That country (Saudi Arabia) has become the dealer and broker of the US warmongering.”

“The root cause of the Islamic Ummah’s problems and backwardness should be searched in such hypocritical and unfair moves,” Larijani said.

In a recent article for Business Insider, reporter Geoffrey Ingersoll highlighted Saudi Prince Bandar’s role in the two-and-a-half year Syrian civil war. Many observers believe Bandar, with his close ties to Washington, has been at the very heart of the push for war by the US against the Syrian government.
