Supreme Leader Appreciates Nation’s Vigilance, Participation in Revolution Anniversary Rallies

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei appreciated the vigilance insight of the Iranian nation in creating such a great epic by participating in February 10 nationwide rallies celebrating the victory anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, according to IRNA.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks here Monday during one of his classes for theological students.

The ayatollah further described the massive presence of people in the rallies as a significant event.

Participation of people in the rallies from all walks of life 34 years after the victory of the revolution is a sign of the Almighty’s blessings, Ayatollah Khamenei added.

The grand ayatollah also noted that the biggest and most outstanding feature of the Islamic Revolution is that in Iran people are the true owners of the revolution and the country is a source of pride and independence for the nation.

He expressed gratitude for every single Iranian for participation in the rallies and said exactly when the enemies were encouraging people not to respond to the voice of their revolution and the Islamic system, the nation managed to disappoint them by its active presence.

 

Ahmadinejad: No Power Can Make Slightest Imposition against Iranian Nation

 

For his part, Iranian President Ahmadinejadrejected pressure against the Islamic Republic over its nuclear program, stating that the Iranian nation would not retreat an iota from its rights, according to al-Manar TV.

Addressing a huge crowd in Tehran’s Azadi Square on the 34th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Ahmadinejad said Tehran would not negotiate about its nuclear program under pressure, but would talk to its adversaries if they stopped “pointing the gun”.

“You cannot point a gun at the Iranian nation and then expect them to have negotiations with you.”

“Talks should not be used as a lever to impose one’s opinions … If you stop pointing the gun at the Iranian nation, I will negotiate (with you) myself,” the Iranian president stated.

 “Today, [even] the most cynic and immoral enemies of the Iranian nation admit that the Iranian nation and country is one of the most independent nations and countries in the world and no one can impose their will on the Iranian nation,” Ahmadinejad added.
