Self-Distancing Means not to Transfer Weapons, Gunmen to Syria- Aoun

BEIRUT,(ST)_ Member of the Lebanese Parliament Michel Aoun, who is also  head of the Change and Reform Bloc stressed that the policy of self-distancing means  not to interfere in the affairs of others nor to transfer arms and armed men to them.
“we have to we control our borders with Syria,” because there are agreements between the two countries that do not allow trying to destabilize or stand against  one  country from another country, as provided in “agreement with Syria, ” Aoun added  an interview with Al-Alam TV on Sunday
He pointed out that “all Arab states intervene in Syria , in a flagrant violation  of the  Arab League Charter,” noting that “Syria is ready today to move to a democratic system while democracy is missed in  the other states.”
“The  military balance is  in favor of the Syrian Arab Army, is  loyal to his country, and is  controlling on the ground.” He added
Aoun stressed that “Every one provides men and weapons is  involved in the war against  Syria,” noting that all those involved   are known as they are not trying to hide their involvement which is manifested in their media and political positions.
Aoun expressed optimism that the crisis in Syria starts  “to end and  what we are seeing now is the final scenario .”

Aoun termed the imposition of sanctions against Iran as ineffective.

He also described Iran’s military might and capabilities as tremendously high, stating that the Islamic Republic can stand against sanctions no matter how strict they may be.
“West and Israel are seeking to weaken Iran. Nevertheless, evidence on the ground shows that Iran has turned into a major country in the Middle East, and is the only dynamic state in the entire region,” he stated.
He noted that Western states do not favor a domestic balance of power in the Middle East as it challenges their interests.
