Chants ring out in Palestine for defending Syria
OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (ST)- The Palestinian Popular Committee for Defending Syria denounced the US hostile policy towards Syria’s leadership, people and army.
The Committee’s denunciation came during a stand of solidarity the Committee held on Saturday outside the U.S. Consulate building in Nablus St. in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
A number of Palestinian figures from Jerusalem. al-Jalil, the West Bank and Negev participated in the said event.
Chants lauding Syria rang out during the event.
Participants strongly support Syria in its confrontation of the global conspiracy targeting it, expressing condemnation of the Qatari and Turkish interference in the Syrian internal affair.
The Israeli occupation forces tried to encircle and tease the participants, who nevertheless insisted on continuing their sit-in, waving posters of President Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian flags and chanting anti-imperialism and pro-Syria slogans.
