Remarkable results for chess teams in Yemen

The national chess teams have achieved remarkable results in the Arab Chess Championship(age groups)which was staged in Yemen.

The Syrian teams (male and female)grabbed seven varied medals (3 gold,2 silver,2 bronze).

Those who took medals respectively were:Bashir Aiti,Rita Yaghi,Manar Khalil,Malik Qunyali,Fatima Murad,Duha Farha and Nagham Khateeb.

Athletes from Syria,Yemen,Egypt,Palestine,Iraq,Tunisia,Libya,Jordan,Sudan,Mauritania and Lebanon took part in the said event

In the overall standings, Syria came second in the U-14 categories while the first place went to the Egyptian team.
