Arslan calls for stopping campaigns against Syria

BEIRUTE,(ST)_Lebanese Democratic Party Leader MP Talal Arslan says the solution of Syria’s crisis is based on dialogue and political reform as it is a significant step.

Speaking during  a news conference broadcasted by the Lebanese al-Manar  TV channel, Arslan underscored that dialogue among Syrians have to be held far away from intervention of foreign parties that have certain interests.

“Dialogue between Syrians doesn’t deny and doesn’t contradict with the fact that there is a conspiracy hatched against Syria for shedding its internal social and national unity,” Arslan said.

He sees that it is necessary to control Syria-Lebanon borders and prevent smuggling of weapons, noting that boats have been seized to protect Lebanese people’s unity.

Arslan stressed that controlling borders has nothing to do with borders demarcation file.

Moreover, he clarified that self-distancing policy includes controlling borders and arresting armed terrorists under the constitution, calling on the Lebanese to translate this policy into action.

“All avoid confronting a real political system crisis which Lebanon is going through,” the Lebanese MP said.

On the other hand, Arslan offered condolences to Syria on the death of Sheikh Aql (leader) of the Muslim Muwahhideen community in Syria, sheikh Hussein Jarbou’ who had played a pivotal role in protecting Syrian national unity and civil peace and rebuffing colonial custody.

“Sheikh Jarbou was keen on enhancing resistance in the occupied Golan through preserving Syria’s unity,” The MP added.

He appealed for stopping campaigns being launched against Syria before it is too late.

Arslan warned that the Israeli occupation is seeking to destroy Arab countries through internal wars that entitled “constructive chaos for occupation and destructive one for the Arab countries”.

He noted that external parties are partners in the internal war in Syria.
