Washington has Deviated from the Content of Geneva Statement- Bogdanov

MOSCOW,(ST)_  ” Washington has deviated from the contents of the Geneva Statement and is acting unilaterally, ” said  the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, adding  that the uproar raised  on a change in the Russian position is artificial.

“Our stance on the basis of the Geneva Statement is identical with that of the Americans, but Washington has turned away from it and started to act unilaterally,” Bogdanov  added in a statement to ” Russia today” TV on Saturday

He stressed that  “the fabricated uproar ” on statements quoted  for him were  emanating from a misunderstanding of the meaning of ideas discussed with several  members of the  Russian Social Chamber,  noting that the discussions were  about developments  of the situation  in Syria and that the Russian foreign ministry  was considering all possibilities , including the evacuation  of Russian nationals from Syria.

Bogdanov  explained .. ” I told  those who questioned  the situation in Syria  that the Syrian opposition said they  control 60 percent of the area of Syria and the Turks are  also talking about numbers and I said we have to deal with the information seriously and not to drop any possibility,” stressing that Moscow declared more than once , even by  President Vladimir Putin that it deals  with the crisis in Syria  on the ground of the interests of the  Syria people and it does not support any party against the other.

Worthy mentioning that  certain  media last Thursday disseminated news  on the developments of conditions in Syria  and attributed them to Bogdanov, who is also the special envoy of the Russian President to the Middle East . However, promoted last Thursday news about the latest developments in Syria’s per Bogdanov Russian president’s special envoy to the Middle East.

However, the Russian Foreign ministry denied this news  and confirmed that he  made no such statement.
