Gunmen Kill 24 Egyptian Policemen in North Sinai

CAIRO- Gunmen fired rocket-propelled grenades at two buses packed with Egyptian policemen in Sinai on Monday, killing 24 in the deadliest attack of its kind in years, AFP quoted medical and security sources as saying.

The interior ministry confirmed the toll, describing the attack as the work of armed terrorist groups in north Sinai.

It said at least three others were injured when the unknown gunmen fired on the police.
