PROVINCES,(ST)_In the weeks to come, units of the armed forces are reported to impose full control on mountains and hills in northern Lattakia countryside and on the heart of Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside.
The Beirut-based al-Mayadeen T.V. channel reporter said today that the armed forces are moving towards a strategic site -Sheikh Nabhan Mountain- in northern Lattakia countryside after tightening control over hills surrounding Eramo town.
A military source told the reporter: “It will be easy for the armed forces to control valleys after driving thugs out of the hills and mountains”.
al-Khameseyeh town under army’s control
The developments in Lattakia province came in sync with retaining full control over al-Khameseyeh town, around 4km to the north-east of Damascus International Airport, after wiping out all terrorist groupings.
A military source told SANA that the armed forces seized a big quantity of weapons and ammunitions and defused dozens of booby-traps planted by terrorists on the streets of the town.
