DAMASCUS, (ST) _ ” We discovered, after we defected, the volume of distorted facts concerning Syria and the destruction and sabotage acts by the armed terrorists inflected on both the Syrian army and people,” said a number of army officers who defected the army; but returned back to their military establishment after the truth was clear to them .
“I would advise everyone not to be dragged behind hostile TV stations and to conceive the reality as it is; so as to know what is really happening” Lt. Col. Khalid Abdul Rahman al-Zamel al-Zamel said.
He recommended his colleagues who defected the army to reconsider their position and return back to their homeland and to its guardian, the military establishment, so as to take part in the process of building the homeland.
He explained that defectors should seize the opportunity given in the recent presidential decree which provides for pardoning those who fled the army, and return back to the rightful path of building the country.
Lieutenant Mahmoud Ali Mousa is another repentant defector, who said that what is happening in Syria is but acts of killing and destruction carried out by armed groups. in the interests of the west, not Syria ‘s interests.
He called on all his fellow colleagues who defected the army to return to the right path, without fear or hesitation , adding :” When I surrendered myself , I was given the helping hand from the competent authorities and I felt proud of the positive approach from the official sides in settling my status .”
Defected Lt. Molham al-Chantout and two other repentant soldiers Alaa Eddine Qazmouz and Muhammad Masalkhi, said that the sole legitimate weapon in Syria is that of the Syrian Arab Army .
They called upon those who carry weapons against the country to remember how Syria was before some sold themselves to foreign conspirators , when Syria was a country of safety and security, to give up hostilities against their country and return back to the homeland. “
“Our beloved Syria, the country in which we live needs all her sons to build it and not to destroy it,” One soldier said.
