PROVINCES,(ST)_Fierce fighting is still going on outside Lattakia and Aleppo provinces amid reports of eliminating many al-Nusra Front-affiliates of foreign nationals outside Hama.
The fighting flared up outside Lattakia province due to terrorist groups’ infiltration into several towns few days ago, according to a military source, resulted today in restoring stability and security to Eramo and Sterpe towns in the northern side a day after restoring stability to other three towns –Talla, Beit alSh’kohi, and Kefreyeh- in the same area.
The source confirmed that big number of terrorists, mostly of foreign nationals, was eliminated in the towns, pointing out that a unit of armed forces pounded a hideout of al-Nusra Front-affiliates in Obin town.
Rocket launchersdestroyed
However, the clashes erupted in the northern Aleppo province ended in mowing down an unknown number of squads and destroying heavy machine guns and rocket launchers in more than 16 areas inside and outside the province including the surrounding of the central prison.
Other rocket launchers used by terrorists to attack Homs city were targeted in al-Msharfeh area outside the city, as several hideouts were obliterated by the armed forces in Beit al-Rashed farm (in Talbiseh) and in town of al-Hesn and al-Zara farms (outside Tal Kalkh) as well as in Kisin town outside al-Rastan and in Taldo outside al-Holeh.
Booby-traps and mines in Daraa
Meanwhile, the armed forces defused two booby traps weighing 35 kg/each and 5 mines in Daraa al-Balad, south of the country. They also hammered terrorists in Tsil, Tafas, al-Shabraq, al-Abdali, Bosra al-Sham, al-Hrak, al-Mzerib, al-Hara, and Nawa towns in the same province (Dara).
Further terrorists including foreign nationals reportedly perished when the armed forces wiped out their hideouts in towns of al-Hwiz, Jesr Beit alRas and in area of al-Hamara in Hama countryside.
The Eastern Ghouta
In Damascus countryside, clashes continued in Harasta and Darayya suburbs and in the Eastern Ghouta where 4 identified terrorists and a ringleader of the so-called “Kataeb al-Houda” brigade were killed.
In this context, an official source told SANA that the armed forces targeted terrorist groupings and their weapons in al-Dyabeyeh and Babbila area in the southern Damascus countryside.
It added that a terrorist grouping from al-Nusra Front was shelled in al-Qastal town, as terrorists’ bid to detonate explosive devices (of the weight 15-25 kg/ each) near al-Qalamon hospital was repelled.
Other three explosive devices planted by terrorists in the western farms of international road in Harasta suburb were dismantled by the armed forces.
Moreover, SANA reported that the armed forces-in cooperation with locals- crushed many terrorists and injured dozens when they were trying to enter town of Hosh al-Qbebeh in the Eastern Ghouta where several tunnels were bombarded.
It confirmed continuity of the army’s operations in suburbs of Jobar, al-Qabon and Barzeh without further details.
Jaramana explosion kills 18 citizens
At night, the Syrian TV Channel reported that at least 18 citizens including 3 children were martyred and 56 others wounded in a deadly car bomb explosion hit Jaramana suburb outside the capital.
The car bomb exploded between al-Khedr Street and al-Syouf square in the suburb caused also huge damages to shops and cars at the scene.
On July 25th, the same square (al-Syouf) witnessed a deadly explosion in which 10 citizens were martyred.
