“The Happiness of Childhood” exhibition reflects children talents

This is the second exhibition of the children Rimon Al- Shakour and his sister Patricia. It opened on Tuesday at the Arab Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh in Damascus.

The talented Raymon Simon Al-Shakour, who is four years old and his sister with the help of their mother displayed 100 paintings including nature, cartoon characters, letters and numbers, water, seas, animals and others.

Safa Elias, the children’s mother who is a painter, told Syria Times that “She noticed her son’s talent since his  early childhood, which began with his love of colors and drawing lines.She supported his talent by helping him in drawing lines and teaching him the basics of art until he was able to draw”.

 The 100 paintings using acrylic colors included in the exhibition represented her son and his sister’s talents.She wishes that their drawing talents would grow until he and his sister became famous plastic artists” She said.

“ I support my son and his sister in all possible ways, I will help them to  achieve success in their promising future” she added.

Mrs. Rabab Ahmad, the director of the Arab Cultural Center of Abu Rummaneh said to ST:” This is the second exhibition of the child Rimon. We notice here that the subjects and the colors of his paintings are clearer and reflect his talent with his mother’s support”.

“The Arab Cultural center in general allows everybody to show and display their distinguished works whatever their age. The opportunity is available to all ages of talented people.We  encourage them”.
