DPRK Voiced Support for Syria

TEHRAN, (ST) _ Parliament Speaker of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea  DPRK  Kim Yong Nam, stressed  his country’s leadership and people support for Syria ‘s  people and the leadership  “in order to eliminate the fierce imperialist attack against it.”

Yong Nam stressed during his meeting with Prime Minister Wael Halaqi  at his residence in Tehran yesterday that Syria and the DPRK are facing a common enemy seeks to destabilize the two countries  in order to undermine  their will to development and loot their resources.

The DPRK official stressed deep  historical  and strategic relations between the two countries, founded on solid ground, led by leaders of the two great countries late President Hafez al-Assad and President Kim Jon Il ,stressing that those relations are continuously enhanced  under the wise leadership of Presidents Bashar al-Assad and Kim Jong-Un.

He also pointed to the need for greater cooperation and coordination between the two countries face the common enemy , manifested in the US and Israel, in order not to enable  this enemy achieve criminal plans.

For his part, Halaqi praised solid positions of DPRK leadership and people  in support of the Syrian people in international forums, and  strengthening relations between the two countries, especially in commercial ,industrial , electric power, and medication areas.

The Prime Minister also made a  political  and economic debate  in which he referred to the objectives of the global war experienced by Syria and terrorists and mercenaries sent  to Syria in order to destroy Syria ‘s  state and national unity, stressing that thanks to the will of her people and support of  her friends Syria will emerge victorious.

The two sides discussed ways to develop trade , economic ndustrial  and developmental relations  between the two countries and peoples.

The meeting was attended by Mansour Azzam Minister of Presidential Affairs , Taiser Zoubi Cabinet ‘s  Secretary General Adnan Mahmoud, Syria’s Ambassador in Tehran and the DPRK ambassador in Tehran.
